An Australian with a typical hrose family upbringing, Dallas was pony club president and apprentice saddle maker in his hometown of Warwick in Queensland Australia. At sixteen, he went to work mustering cattle and shoeing horses on large cattle stations. He came to the US in1989 to attend a horseshoeing school, and in  1993 he became attending farrier at Kansas State University.  For six years he worked extensively with hospitalized therapeutic cases while maintaining a remedial horseshoeing business.

In 2000 he was a member of the American Farriers Team. Since 2002. Dallas and his wife Jessica Morgan DVM have owned and operated Morgan Equine Veterinary and Farrier Hospital in finger lakes region of upstate New York.  The primary forcus of the hospital is lameness diagnostics and therapeutic treatments.  Curing the winter, Dallas hostes educational sessions that focus on shoe making and tool making and tool making and maintenance.  He also traveled extensively as a horseshoeing and forging clinician, as well as a Mustad sponsored clinician.

In his spare time, he enjoys traveling abroad and competing in horse trials with JEssica and their horses.
