"Well pretty good but I fell off a roof and tore up my shoulder and had surgery...You know that 15 month old stud colt?" Bob.
"Yea"
"His feet are looking pretty bad and I really want to trim him but with my shoulder like this I can't hold him."
"I understand, Bob. Is he halter broke? 'Cuz I could probaly work on him in that small pen by myself and get trimmed."
So I head over to catch the colt full of hope, optimism, and good faith. All three left in the same moment that my shoulder left the socket when my hand in the halter. After 45 minutes of pulling his head to his hip the colt quit trying to run off and was trimme without much more trouble.
I called Bob "Say Bob, so you were leading this colt around pretty well the past six months, huh?"
"Oh, no", Bob replied with all sincerity, " we just put the halter on him six months ago and it didn't bother him a bit."
